Fr. Duván Bermúdez Jiménez was born in Guadalajara de Buga, Valle, Colombia, on October 11, 1965. He was ordained to the priesthood on August 17, 1996, for the Diocese of Buga.
During his ministry in his home diocese, he served as Director of the Office of Communications for more than six years, Chaplain at the Diocesan School Gimnasio Central del Valle, Director of Vocations, and Professor and Formator at Los Doce Apóstoles Seminary. He also served as pastor in four parishes of the Diocese of Buga and as Director of the Permanent Diaconate Program and Lay Ministries.
Fr. Bermúdez joined the Diocese of Palm Beach in 2004. Since then, he has served as Parochial Vicar at several parishes, including the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens, Sacred Heart in Lake Worth, Holy Name of Jesus in West Palm Beach, and St. Joseph in Stuart.
Since July 2015, he has served as Director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry and the School of Christian Formation. He has been actively involved in diocesan and regional events such as AMAME, the Palm Beach Diocesan Charismatic Conference, and the 5th Anniversary of the RCCH in Little Rock, Texas. He has also been a strong promoter of the Emmaus Retreat in the Diocese of Palm Beach.
Since 2020, Fr. Bermúdez has served as Spiritual Director of the ministry Orando Por Nuestros Hijos (MOPNH). He currently resides at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jupiter.
