BAPTISM
Baptism
Requirements
Jesus was baptized and taught his Apostles to do likewise. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God. We become members of the Body of Christ as we are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. We can’t wait to welcome your child into the life of Christ and our Church through Baptism. St. Peter offers Baptisms for children each Saturday following the 4:30pm Mass. Baptisms in Spanish are on the first Sunday of the month after the 12:30pm Mass.

Children/Youth Baptism
(children from 7 - 17)
The Catholic Church requires children between the ages of 7 and 14 to take a catechesis class, or Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC), before they can be baptized.
Adult Baptism
OCIA is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation with specific liturgical rites for seekers and inquirers. Seekers and inquirers are non-baptized adults who desire to be fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church and/or baptized adult Christians who desire full communion in the Roman Catholic Church.
