Deacon Stephen Scienzo was born in Providence RI and ordained as a Permanent Deacon on September 6th 2008.

 

He moved to Florida in 1968 with his parents and met his wife Cheri in 1971 and married her in 1972. They have two children Michael and Catherine and five grand children Liliana, Toby, Salvatore, Cody and Emma.

 

A parishioner since 1987, Deacon Stephen has been involved in many different ministries. He has served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector, and Altar Server as well as working in the Food for Families ministry and the Ministry for the Sick. He has recently become involved in Pastoral Care at St Mary’s Hospital for the diocese of Palm Beach and oversees our Hospital, Nursing Home, Critically ill, and Home bound Ministry for the Sick at St Peters.

 

Currently Stephen is an Independent Insurance Agent and owner of his own firm Scienzo and Associates Insurance Agency. His desire in life has always been to serve needs of others as he now serves the people of God as a Permanent Deacon. He reminds us that “Life is precious from the moment of conception until natural death and should never be taken for granted. Life is a Gift from God. Let us always remember that and cherish it.
