Ediza Vega was born in Cajamarca, Peru. She graduated from San Martin University in Lima, Peru with studies in Journalism.  In 1995 she immigrated to the United States and lived in Maryland for 20 years working in Journalism and Latino Community Leadership until moving to Jupiter, FL in 2010 for family reasons.

Upon having her personal encounter with Jesus Christ, she decided to change careers. She has finished her third year of Pastoral Leadership Seminar in the Southeast Pastoral Institute of Miami. She graduated from the Palm Beach Diocesan Christian Formation School, and also from the first phase of Christian formation at San Andres School of Evangelization.

Since arriving to Jupiter, Ediza has been an active parishioner of St. Peter Church which has led her into many leadership roles. She began as a member of the Emmaus Retreat Team and was the leader of the Hispanic Lectors Ministry and member of the Core Team of the Hispanic Ministry while serving as Sub-Coordinator of the San Andres School of Evangelization.

Ediza is excited to be part of a large and vibrant Hispanic community that prays, celebrates, and shares the Word of God with all the faithful.
