I was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old and grew up in Maryland. I graduated as a computer programmer and have been in the computer field for over 30 years. I married my beautiful wife Rosa and we have three amazing kids Ashley, Edward and Edwin Jr.
We moved to Tequesta Florida in 1997 when Edwin Jr. was only 6 months old and attended St. Jude parish there. In May of 2001 we moved into Jupiter and began attending St. Peter Church in 2003. We slowly got more and more involved with the Spanish ministry as we realized the need to try and bring the English and Spanish speaking communities together as one people worshiping the same Jesus Christ.
Our service at St. Peter eventually led me to be called by our Lord through Father Don and the Guadalupan Sisters of the Holy Spirit, especially Sister Esther. After spending 2 years of much discernment and prayer I entered St. Vincent DePaul Regional Seminary for Theological Studies and graduated in April 2019. I was ordained Permanent Deacon in September 2019. I have served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, member of the Spanish Core Team (Grupo Base), I teach Pre-Baptism classes and also coordinate the scheduling of our 5:30 daily mass servers and many other ministries which eventually led me to now serve the people of God as an Ordained Permanent Deacon here at St. Peter.
My main goal is to live what I preach and try to always be an example of a true disciple of Christ to others in the hopes of leading souls to Christ.
