Fr. Wesler Hilaire was born in Haiti and was raised and educated as a Catholic. After High School he went to Honduras where he learned Spanish and a year later, he went to the Dominican Republic, where he received his degree in Philosophies from the University of the Company of Jesuits.
Fr Wesler joined the Diocese of Palm Beach in 2008 and was sent to Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans for a priestly formation immersion program.
In 2009, he began his Masters of Divinity program at Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach. In April 2013, he was ordained a transitional Deacon and served at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens. In May 2014, he was ordained a priest.
Fr Wesler has served the people of Saint Joan of Arc in Boca Raton, Saint Joseph Church in Stuart, and looks forward to serving his faithful sisters and brothers at St. Peter. Fr. Wesler speaks Creole, French, Spanish and English.
His favorite motto is from one of our great Saints, Padre Pio. “Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry”
